DEATH
over dinner

VIRTUAL
event
Let’s be honest — no one really wants to talk about death. But what if avoiding the conversation is actually making things harder?

So, let’s make space for that conversation in the most human way possible — over dinner.

Your co-hosts are Kelsey Dalziel and Kathie Powell, the Medium and the End of Life Doula. They come to this conversation from two unique yet deeply connected perspectives. As a medium, Kelsey offers insights into the unseen connections we maintain with those who have passed, helping to bridge the gap between this world and the next. Kathie, as a grief educator and end-of-life doula, brings a grounded and compassionate approach to the realities of loss, offering tools for healing and navigating the complexities of mourning. Together, they provide a multidimensional perspective on death, dying, and the love that never truly leaves us.

Death over Dinner is a virtual gathering where strangers become friends and the topic of death and grief don't feel quite so heavy. Around this virtual Zoom table, we’ll explore what it means to talk about the end of life — with compassion, curiosity, and a little bit of courage. We share experiences honestly. Our beliefs, fears and even our hopes. You’ll walk away with some insight, maybe a few tools, and hopefully a deeper sense of connection to yourself and the people you love.
Why dinner, you ask?

Because the dinner table has always been where the real conversations happen. It’s where we laugh, cry, share stories, and get honest. Sharing food softens the edges of hard topics. It reminds us we’re all just humans trying to figure things out.
So, pull up a chair. Pour yourself a drink. Let’s talk about the thing no one talks about — together. We’ll raise a glass to life, to love, and yes, to death too.

We keep the room intentionally small so each person is seen and heard. We limit each event to 7 people. No one is muted because — in person you can't mute people at the dinner table. We ask each person attending to honour each story, to listen without judgement, and come with an open heart.
